1. All You Need is Less, by Madeleine Somerville.
I start with my favorite go-to book! It is an easy read, funny, relatable, and full of great ideas! I will definitely inspire you to begin a journey of living green, simple and Earth friendly!
2. Voluntary Simplicity, by Duane Elgin
No list could be without this book and since it re-energized an entire movement, what more can I say!?
3. Everyday Sacred, by Sue Bender.
I believe I have re-read this one many times and each time find some new thought on simplicity, peace, calmness, and a higher way of living. My constant example of truly living a simple life is the story of a full bowl...you will love it!
4. Ethics for the New Millennium, by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
A book that will anger, inspire, motivate and give hope. Puts life into a new global Earth conscious loving perspective.
5. Let Your Life Speak, by Parker Palmer
If you have vision for who you are and what you want you will move thru this life in love, peace. and generiosity giving yoru talents to yourself and humanity! Must read!
6. Creating True Peace, by Thich Nhat Hanh
Again, having yourself balanced and operating from a place of peace and love allows your choices to be healthy, wise, and beneficial to all. A book to own and read and re-read!
7. True Love, by Thich Nhat Hanh
In continuation with no. 6, love, true love for self and others is a must to live a simple, balalnced, healthy, life full of what you desire and beneficial to all.
8. Being in Balance, by Wayne Dyer
An excellent quick daily read but with deep contemplation! I again re-read often always finding new meaning for where I am at that day.
9. Arriving at Your Own Door, by Jon Kabat Zinn.
There are larger books by this author but I love the simplicity (of course!) of this book. It does not complicate the ideas of mindfullness and makes them instead deep, easy 1-minute reads that you can chew on all day!
10. You Can Heal Your Life and Meditations to Heal Your Life, by Louise L. Hay.
Last but certainly not least these are incredible, fantastic, empowering books for women who want to remind themselves every day of their awesomeness! Must read, must re-read, must own. I have made pretty copies of some of the meditations and pinned them to work spaces and inside cabinets for daily inspiration.
11. Eating Mindfully, by Susan Albers
A straight forward read to get your mind and body connected and begin the process of living healthy!
12. Suze Orman
I love both books and find her approach to money wise, comprehensible, spiritual and full of laughter.
13. Skinny Bitch, by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin
Okay, this was a great and quite humorous read but beware, as the title suggests, they pull no punches. In fact, as a conscious eating, plant-based, organic, gluten-free vegetarian, I had to skip thru a couple chapters that were very graphic about animal abuse. It happens. It's one reason we don't eat animals. Don't think it doesn't exist. More realistic, you ingest that pain and trauma experienced if you choose to eat it! They say it better so I will leave it to them!
